hi I’M JULIA!
I’m currently living in Austin, TX with my hunky husband. I’m a portrait and lifestyle story teller who is passionate about capturing the real and the raw.
I started my photography journey back in 2016 when I was gifted my first “official” camera. I had zero idea what I was doing, so I reached out to the pros and to the internet for advice. In doing so, I’ve created lifelong friendships, grew my business, and have met people from all over the world.
Photography has been one of the biggest blessings and has given me a desire to help other photographers grow their businesses too!

![Life has been kinda all over the place lately. But things are kinda sorta slowing down. God’s been teaching me a lot about being patient. Waiting. And trusting in HIS timing.
I’m so antsy and eager for immediate answers, wanting to know “what’s next” and what my future holds. Not knowing the answers gives me anxiety and stresses me out.
But in those moments, God so graciously reminds me that faith comes from trusting in the things we can’t see.
When fear creeps in and feeds me lies, I know that I’m clinging on to my own feelings [which are temporary + always changing] and not to Truth.
God has been teaching me to trust in HIS plans and to have faith in HIM and to not lean on my own understanding. He keeps reminding me of Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is believing in what you can’t see.” BOOM. 👊🏼
When my heart takes rest in that Truth, I am no longer fearful of my future because I know WHO is in control. Feelings of sadness are replaced with JOY and my anxiety is washed away because PEACE takes over.

![On Monday I met up with a precious friend to grab coffee, edit, and swap headshots.
Whenever I know it’s my time to shine in front of the camera, ya girl gets all dolled up cause ya gotta be camera ready 💃🏻
Buuuut I showed up with no make up on, my hair still wet from my shower and the only clean clothes left in my closet because we hadn’t done laundry in two weeks...whoops! #reallife
I wanted to pick apart everything wrong with myself in this photo. But I’m working on not comparing my life to everyone else‘s and learning to see myself the way God sees me. We meet monthly to hang out, learn, grow and inspire each other. We had the second meet up last Saturday and was a BLAST! It’s such a fun and sweet group of girls!
My hope is that these meet ups will continue even when I move out of the country in five months. [Maybe we can have meet ups in Barcelona 😉]
I love seeing these ladies build real life friendships and watching everyone learn, grow, support and encourage each other. This is what it’s alllll about! 👏🏼🎉
